i used to have 3ds max 8 as student edition, its way cheaper (around 120 euro) and you can use it for 2 years if youre a student. just not for comercial use. 3dtotal is affiliated with DW too as far as i know. - Rick.
yo mamas so fat, I used her to fracture objects instead of RayFire...you know, because RayFire costs like $300 so I'm like hey! why not just use your mom....because she's so fat. 0_o
around 300 bucks??? special edition, shipping to germany. That´s too much, i get alot of great books/education for that money. But i´m going to print out some sentry-guns when i got some time to polish the models
my recent favorite is Gates of Fire by Steven Pressfield. Truly epic novel about the battle of Thermopylae with exhaustive research providing a rich historical backdrop for a truly amazing piece of historical fiction. Fuck 300, a movie based on this book would be the ultimate epic.
I don't really plan on getting a new console unless they are REALLY impressive this time around, I can shell out $300-500 for a new video card and be set for a generation. Only thing I play a console for is for Sports games.
Finally started to do a texture pass on some of the Props in the scene! A small Zenith Cube Color TV! And a TEC MA 230 Cash Register! Slowly replacing more assets and starting to texture out most of the Assets I've made already. :)
It's too bad that even if you make a simple 2d game in UE4. Your shipped/deployed game will be around 300 megabytes. Even cooked for mobile games you're talking about around 90 megabytes minimum no matter how simple.
@Malcolm, Good idea for the blur. I will see what I can do. The default values for the integrator are: Max Iterations: 300 Cont/Deriv: 80 Slope Range: 0% Planar Rigidity: 0% Enable Noise Reduction: On Smooth: Off :)
Sadly, the first production game I ever worked on was probably the worst game I've ever played. Though it was 3x better than Big Rigs! lol. Averaged a 3.0 review. Sooo bad. Castles & Catapults (released April 2003)
Interesting link glottis. In that case I would expect it to be $90-$100 for brand new if it is targeted to be a cheaper knock-off for kids. I still had a hard time coughing up $120 for my DS Lite a few years back.
