Realized I haven't posted up any updates of the new project I have been working on. Trying to practice more with creating clothes and fabric while using Zbrush and Marvelous Designer with some inspiration from Punzi Ella's artwork. I really like the clothes that she has in some of her artwork and I figured it would be a…
Yeah, I did unwrap my clothing based on the Marvelous Designer patterns, and where the seams would be. :) It's just for the top of the shirt, the reference mesh I looked at had the front and back sewed as one, which helped with the pattern to run consistently over it. But not Substance Designer...? I was going to make use…
@Stensword , no you cannot just push space. You have to sew the patterns. But you dont have to create the patterns in MD, or put them in the right spot. All you have to do is sew, adjsut the materials, and then simulate. I think it's covered here: 3D File (OBJ) Import/Export – Marvelous Designer Help Center (zendesk.com)…
Looking at our team and project I don't think we have a costume designer, though maybe some of the concept artist have that background. The research is usually done by the concept artists themselves. Still I see there a little niche that could be interesting for costume designers that not only can do concept work, but also…
Hey Everyone, I wanted to share a recently finished artwork of mine with you all, inspired loosely by Marvels Civil War where I tried to depict the aftermath of the events. Made completely using Substance Designer and rendered in Marmoset Toolbag. 100% procedural! Hope you'll like it :) Please check out the Artstation link…
I'd say with female marvel characters, their proportions are highly exaggerated. Proper skinny waists and hour glass figures so I'd say work on that a little more to better match the style. I know a guy who did a thread on how he made a Rogue from Xmen and he talks about getting the figure correct. Might want to check that…
By having to go through one source even if its free makes them responsible for the content. Quick example: Muhammad model part of a religious model series free. Do you really think Epic will want to be linked to that? Say a famous celebrity whose agent is always chasing image rights/payment. Wasn[t there even something on…
@Krystian_Zem Thanks! The flag was made in Marvelous Designer, just a rectangle with pins on the corners then run the simulation. Then into Zbrush to Zremesh into quads. It ended up being 2k triangles, which is a bit on the heavy side, but I kept it anyways. Additional normal map detail was done in Substance Painter. And…

I agree with Jacque. You don't need to have WoW's success to be successful. There are PLENTY of successful MMOs. First couple that come to mind are Guild Wars, LOTRO, and EQ2. That being said, there actually ARE a bunch of MMO's that will be redefining the genre. Torchlight MMO is being made. That's a ARPG (diablo style).…
