I'm getting ready to wrap this up. I'm going to have to come back later on to finish the rest of the stuff that will make this a full 360 environment. Here are a couple more progress shots.
Here is a few more images of the gun, I am just wrapping up modeling some floating geometry for the inside of the chamber then its on to the low poly. Comments and suggestions are always welcome ;)
Thanks for the kind words everyone :) @Fingus, The wrap mode is great but i didn't really do much sculpting, so it wasn't really needed this time around. Awesome feature though :)
I second that. I think the skin should try to wrap around the horn. I know this is an alien bird, but creatures usually have similar structures. Check out this rhino horns
Wrapped up the grenades, fun project that I took a bit further than just the base concept. Here's a link for any interested in more images. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/RBx1D
I want this to be on one of those Glad wrap commercials. "Don't get mad, get angry." Which I guess wouldn't help them tie in their brand name, but who cares.
Is that in zbrush or another 3d app?Looks fantastic! Im also working with a column but i cant get the stencil wrap around my column like you have :( very nice!!!!!
Projected how? Just slap it in photoshop, 3d painted, Surface-wrap, or maybe a blended-box-mapping? I'm runnning into problems with a model of mine and a ton of UV islands causing seams.
The straps seem as though they dip in a little too much. i'm thinking that they seem to have too much slack in that area considering they seem to be wrapped around the inner part in such a way that it bulges.
