I exaggerated the skewing in the high poly. I got the same result as you in the 1st image. I think this happens because of the averaged projection, while the vertex normal are flat, the averaged projection is skewed, if you move the verts along the normal this is basically what happens.
That's pretty big. Most games chop them way down to get everything into memory. An in-game cinematic can use 2048s, and some 1st-person weapons use large textures. It all comes down to how large on-screen the model is seen, most of the time.
Same comments. I would put them into a game engine like UDK or CryEngine 3 so you can have AAA quality in-game rendering. Character looks cool but I'm not sure if it fit on the whole scene (1st one). Anyways, nice shots! :)
1st one and the 2nd one of the second set look good. Cant say whats wrong with the other ones but they look a bit off, maybe too cold or something? Superbike frame looks clean so far, which one is it going to be? got any ref?
It seems there was one on May 1st last year, they'll probably do it again. Well, at least I hope so, I'm also waiting on a sale. You can check when it has been on sale before at the bottom of this page: https://steamdb.info/app/550060/
Some prints at the current UV, I wanted everything with an alpha channel on a seperate texture, so I devided the character in to 3 different textures. 1st one is the alpha texture, 2nd: body plus a little extra, 3rd: accessories. 2 1024x512 1 1024x1024
Oh snap, another cancer! Happy B-day! You where number one out of 100-200 million sperms who made It to the egg on "this date", now you have to compete with the rest of us who reached the egg 1st. :) Have a good one.
I make High_Poly Weapon, my 1st model without any helpers only me and xsi and my knowlogy about weapon which is zero about matching pretty simple algorithm: creaty camera, put image, creaty box, find DOF and perspective
wow for the 1st time since it was announced ive only just now seen what its like, I was expecting a 2d sprite based game and was expecting something lame but that looks dope, really cool seeing the 3d stuff being done well on the DS.
haha no I was just kidding, I guess MOV will do fine. I read the rules once again it says " QuickTime h.264 format". Quick time is a .MOV format. So no issues. Lets sit back and relax now until 1st March
