Hello, I'm thinking about planning a trip to the city of Berlin sometime next year. Just wondering if anyone knew the city well and could recommend any good places to visit? interesting shops (comic/books/music/film) and bars etc. It's always good to have inside info instead of falling into the usual tourist traps. :(…
Posed for the most part, with a few tweaks still left to do. I also changed Scarface’s colors around to more closely match his likeness from the comics. Been detailing and adding wear in different spots. Still have plenty more to do, but it’s getting there.
Man Johannes, you kick butt. Love your style so much. I'm gearing up for anotehr comic con SLC, so doing some more TF2 portraits. I'm considering completely redoing the old ones too, because they kind of stink.
uh, yes, it's a panel for a comic or something like that usually when i do stuff i do at ratio 8.5x11 or something like that sorry, im not certain if this makes any sense sorry updates are so long apart but you know, life and surviving and what not
it's like facebook status...for folks who really have nothing interesting in their lives to share, but believe someone will read it, and care. really care. you won't even believe what I'm doing right now. http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2008/4/23/
I sort of didn't have a high expectations for Dead Space too at first, it seemed to be just another Zombie Shooter ( ugh ). But after watching their Prelude Video Comics and seeing more footage as well as the good reviews now, i'm definetly going to pick it up.
By all means, people should stick to what they like, even if that means never going beyond their childhood comic book fantasies that probably got them into art in the first place. If these artists don't mind being regarded as perpetual 14-year-olds, more power to them. c:
Block out the whole body shape at a very low subdivision. Slowly add detail and proportions at each subdivision. Don't go high fast or you will not get your base proportions and anatomy to look correct. Oh, And use A LOT of real reference...not just comic style illustrations.
Im sure your asking about things that might not be obvious like The Statue of Libety and The empire state building or central park ...? I'd go see Marvel Comics ..that's the only thing I can think of that might not be mentioned by a million new york city tourist websites on the web
Hmm, sorry my post wasnt too helpfull. Had the comic guide about slick, dumb and mean characters in mind while writing. iirc - the face shoud be on a straight line with a big, blocky chin (http://www.comicon.com/pulse/images_2/208fl2.jpg - flash, lower left).
