Loooong delay, but the final one is up: http://cg.tutsplus.com/tutorials/autodesk-3ds-max/3ds-max-tutorial-hot-rod/ All links are collected here also: http://www.laurenscorijn.com/articles/hot-rod-series
I've created a new scene and merged all the geometry. Works fine but your method sounds better. Thanks! :) I just love such an old bugs from Autodesk, those guys have a good sence of humour ;)
This is in 3ds max and I have no idea how well it translates to Maya, but it might be of some help aswell: http://cg.tutsplus.com/tutorials/autodesk-3d-studio-max/how-to-bake-a-flawless-normal-map-in-3ds-max/
Yeah, Viewport Canvas had so much potential and it is very convenient to use. Hope Autodesk fixes it. Seems a lot of ppl are complaining about 3dsmax 2017. I am still using 2014 version lol.
Nice model . Best away import model to Daz ; - import DAE or Fbx format ( included texture ) - use Free Autodesk Fbx Converter for much better. ( Converted more file Obj, Fbx, Dae etc )
Thanks for the confirmation about Switcher, but I think I will stick with the max navigation for now. Really strange that autodesk didnt put in some maya preset or something. I have no trouble using the MMB though :) Cheers!
I wish there was a way, but even with 3rd party software it would be difficult to reassign MMB to LMB as it could create confusion. Autodesk really needs to implement this natively. But maybe something like https://autohotkey.com can help.
A tutorial. http://www.poopinmymouth.com/process/tips/smoothing_groups.jpg The help file. http://docs.autodesk.com/3DSMAX/13/ENU/Autodesk%203ds%20Max%202011%20Help/index.html?url=./files/WSf742dab041063133-2a605991112a1ce7a04-7ff1.htm,topicNumber=d0e19200
if you are using max 8. there is a tutorial somewhere...under help maybe?....and one is "autodesk pelt mapping". i tried to find a link for it last night. but i think it can only be found under help or something.
This is a project I have been working on for a while. It began as a turntable model idea that later evolved into a full map in UDK. Software Used: -Autodesk Maya -ZBrush -Photoshop -Unreal Development Kit I cant wait to see your guys feedback :)
