very nice idea :) love it but creep only got 2 types only right... there seems got 4 there. and it somehow reminds me this XD http://cartoonsimply.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/keroro-platoon-sgt-frog-keroro-gunso-5075483-1024-768.jpg
agree with the yellow, so i made it the default. i think the dude is done for now, next up is his weapon. to be sure i just made some more color variations. btw he hes ca. 3400 tris/verts 1024² gamerez textures applied here.
Hey no worries Brice! This is just about the best real-time shader I've seen and I really wanted to use it! I'm definitely behind the times in terms of graphics card tech. I'll just chalk this one up as another pro when deciding whether or not to buy a new card. Just to show you what's actually happening when I try to load…
thanks guys! @Mehran Khan nah I just donwsized them all in the settings, they looked ok for the most part, it was more a matter of making everthing even and consistent, some tiny pipes were cranked to 1024 lm res for example, which kills your bake times haha.
Yea i tried it for myself with the same result :/ I don't know how the resize calculation is done but maybe a resize from a lower resolution will work eg. 1024 to 256. You'll lose details but as long as the general shapes are there it's fine since the details can be added through sculpting the terrain.
That's it. Apply a texture to it so you can see it tiling. You should also research texel density - figuring out how many pixels per meter you want to use. I don't know much about current gen specs, I'm guessing 1024 per meter?
nope. another Clue: cable car 1: Now, General Carnaby, perhaps you'll be good enough to give us your real name, rank and serial number. [shoots the chair] 2: Cartwright Jones, Corporal, U.S. Army RA 123-025-3964. 1: Thank You.
http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/Category:Topology http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/BodyTopology This is decent but it's using tube-arm method which isn't really ideal: http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2011/034/0/9/male_body_topology_by_iceblazer17-d38qkxj.jpg Basically you'll just want loops around muscle groups.
While making a miniature curtain sim for a 3d dollhouse, I have found that the scale of the sim (cm/unit under Simulation Parameters) modifies the tension of the cloth, looks like it retains more shape. Try messing with like 0.1 - 0.4 cm/unit at first and see what that does.
We were invited to a local podcast Mana Pau Hana last week :D We talk about Gaimoria, plans for it, our first convention, and all that fun stuff! http://manapauhana.com/2016/06/27/the-mana-pau-hana-podcast-episode-029-indie-game-gaimoria/
