Thanks for the swift reply, Eric. Haven't tried uninstalling Realtek as yet, but I'm downloading the latest XP driver from their site right now. I'll try uninstalling it if updating the driver doesn't work. If all else fails, I'll crack her open and check her plumbing. Thanks again. -

I had a strange issue where CS3 would crash when open/create a second picture. The issue was having a network printer as the default printer in windows. apparent hardrive failure
So I have a freecom 160gig usb hardrive and the past few days has been acting up, eg opening folders extremely slowly locking up entire computer when certian video files are opened(avi) not normally any dvd files (vob). Topogun troubles in Vista?
Hey guys, just a quick question...has anyone else had troubles running topogun in vista? I checked it out this week at work and loved it (running xp at work). I have vista at home and installed the demo but it crashes on opening. I did a quick search and I thought turning off DEP would help but no :( Any thoughts? -

SATA drives will be a bit faster but not by much unless you installed 2 or more in a RAID stripe which roughly doubles the speed of the I/O. The drawback is the cost of course, but also that if one drive fails, the whole volume does too. RAID-5 is a good way around this because one of the drives serves as sort of a backup… -
