I would avoid custom built laptops. With laptops, the feel is so important, the quality of the screen etc. I wouldn't buy a netbook/laptop that I couldn't pick up and use before hand. You could pay $1400 for a pimped out laptop only to realize the screen sucks or the keyboard is terrible.
We also provide some samples that can help you (at least for stones/rocks), directly with Substance Designer . On SD welcome screen ("Help"=>"Welcome screen" in the menu), click on the "Learn" tab and on the "Samples" button. You'll then have the possibility to install samples in a folder. You will find a "substance"…
I prefer the top ones. (The bottom left one feels like it made screen the only "Selling point" [instead of botttles to screen to ship/ corridor or whatever it is in the distance].) (The bottom right has the hated/ overused brown color, plus it gets rid of the nice color gradient you have on the other ones.)
Hi everyone, I'm trying to test out the multi Stereo Rig But I'm getting stuck right out the gate. The viewport just gives me a black screen and I can't view any of the objects. I have linked the different layers of the scene with the different cameras but even then the screen stays black. Anyone got any experience with…
Hello, I got some more time to practice Substance Painter, and I could really, really use your feedback. It's a character done by Mike Pavlovich and I'm just texturing it piece by piece. I want to start with the ForeArm piece and when you guys approve it I'll move to the next piece. All screens I post are print screen from…
Well, the screen is only 1600 x 1200 , and the color accuracy probably isn't that great (both due to specs and age). If you want a screen for drawing on for $500 I'd recommend looking at alternative brands like Huion / XP-Pen / Artisul / Gaomon / etc. instead of buying a Cintique that may be on its last legs.
I honestly wouldn't mind if we had more then one banner, the two sides of my screen are pretty empty as they are, so maybe that is an idea? Although, it would be best if it was a thick box option for slower PC's I guess but for people like me, I can never get enough banners on my screen.
Hello, I'm currently working on a couple of assets for school and the 3do viewer just went full screen on me. The only way I can get back to NDO and PS is by hitting the Windows Key. Did I hit a hotkey? I looked at the 3do options but there's nothing mentioning a full screen mode. Thanks!
OH maaan Alia your work is TOO GOOD So jealous of all your loading screens ahh random question - do you make a 3D render of your set and then paint over it for the loading screen or just paint by hand? either way looks so good. That spec set is beastly ;D
Full screen alpha test seems to have a moderately large performance impact. We've been trying to avoid using it in areas where it can take up a large portion of the screen. Multiply or Additive blending are our preferred methods if we can get away with it. Alpha test can work if used sparringly.
