I have an issue with Substrate where anything over the fogged (rough) glass has artifacts around them. Like a glow and the area around doesn't have the rough glass. The more rough the glass surface is, the more the artifacts become larger. Went through a lot of settings and didn't have any luck. Anyone encounter this…
My next half-alread-written post is how it can be good for certain delelopers - small teams making small games in a short period of time, releasing them with tiny publishing costs. I thinking that without the financial risk being so massive, there might be more risk taking where IP and gameplay and visual style is…
I just got back from seeing ghost rider. If you are you going see just one movie this year ghost rider should be it! Because if you only watch one movie a year you deserve to have to sit through that shit. First off i went into this movie knowing it was bad, very bad. WORST WRITING EVER! It makes sense because its written…
Hello Polycount! My name is HighSchoolHero, and I am working on an animated movie called "Good Morning, Uprising!" Also commonly codenamed The GMU Project, it's an animated Minecraft film made in Blender and Verse (read on). Well, Verse changes everything. I started modelling this Toyota last month in order to practice making cars more. It's pretty close to completion but there are still a fare few things I need to do like the fog lights and the wipers. Currently the model is 45k Triangles but I suspect it will be closer to 47k when I am 100% complete. Would love some…
I loved it, and this was the first time i ever saw a belgian audio (typically rather reserved) cheer for a movie. I too felt like the previews ruined a good deal of the movie though. I wish i could've un-seen those prior to going to see the movie, as i really didn't need those to convince me to go anyway.
Helpful posts ladies & gents: Yea if its hard-edges situations and hole punching and pitch relaxing, i like to find anything that would conform the shape back to its previous state of flat or smoothed, so relax tools (soft smoothing) & a lot of moving the verticies along the edges and pulling it back in place sounds like…
> Nearly two weeks ago, my parents and I went through the process of moving to a new house in south Jersey, about a 90 minute drive south from our old place. Over the month prior to the move, we would pack things into boxes and wrap things in plastic, and the house would gradually empty as more cardboard boxes would be…
emulating others people work for education is fine, even flattering so don't worry about that just note you are learning to make reality off a representation, (copy of a copy) So no one wants you to look at a texture and replicate it, not from an integrity stand point but as a model for learning. The paint overs/examples…
Hey everyone! I’m calling this environment finished now. =) This project started out as a simple idea but turned into a really fun deep dive into lighting, fog, mood, and scene readability. I learned a lot along the way, especially with Unreal’s exposure settings and how to shape a dark scene without losing clarity. Since…
