not so into the helmet design, but this is merely aesthetics. I think something that looked more modern, like a combat helmet worn today would fit better. What youve got wit that flared edge looks a tad too ww2 for me: http://mikonos.globat.com/~joeworld-online.com/news/uploads/fig_7_bbi_s_advance_combat_helmet.jpg nice…
[ QUOTE ] Another annoying trend is the last name as first name thing. [/ QUOTE ] You think that's bad, I found my last name in a baby name book as a girl's name. In case you're wondering, it's pronounced Mee-see, no idea why we started pronouncing it like that, maybe to sound less german during WWI.
Hey man, I'm definitely not an industry professional or anything, but www.3dtotal.com has a ton of great tutorials for modeling in general, and of course just looking around here can help. I'm sure some other people will have better advice than I can give, but just start making stuff is really all there is to it!
CandyStripes05 - Thanks :) . [HP] - Means a lot coming from you thanks HP :D . I'll be blocking out the rest of my ww2 scene before i finish texturing this, and I'll texture everything in one hit, so this is as far as I'll be taking it for the moment. *Twiddles thumbs while waits for the corrected bake to finish!
Guess it's not very surprising to hear that Romania's Nicolae Ceausescu, who was one of Europe's worst post WW2 dictators, was a big admirer of Kim Il Sung. But it's also interesting to know that at some time NK had a better economy than South Korea (around the 60's) and South Koreans were immigrating to the north.
Hi there, well some time ago i bought a great video tutorial on www.3dmotive.com about assets and modular buildings that was really good. Mabe it helps you too. Thay give some sort of enfasis on UDK but hey, assets are assets and you`ll problably will found some good results after.
Cheers everyone! Going to give these suggestions a wiz! So I will let you know how it all goes down! As to DOG-GY, I don't use the cage in xNormal... should I? I don't triangulate it before importing as I thought Unreal does this for you? I'll have a check on that last one...
Just an FYI guys ( @Arturow @_adamturnbull , and anyone else who's interested ), if you sign up for the Mailing list off my Store page ( http://www.3dfiggins.com/Store/#FreeStuff ) you can snag the Spiderman now before it goes public. Plus you can get updates and such on the web solution as well.
This site has some nice tutorials that can help get started with XSI. The way you have to download things suck but for the most part they are worth the wait. http://www.3d-palace.com/ Heh I forgot this one shows everything, like reading a manual.... http://www.vast.ws/resources/xsi/tutorials/tutorials.html
