I want to get a job doing handpainted for MMO/RPG company as a: 3D Artist Get promoted to Senior/Lead 3D artist Level Designer/World Builder Art Director Get master's in Life Drawing Open my own company Yes...I got a lot of dreams and life goals, it's what keeps me going!
I also made handpainted plants & lowpoly rocks. Making realistic stuff is sometimes boring, that and some latest indie games gave me inspiration. Making rocks was fun because I started by making a huge one by following a tutorial found on polycount, then I cut each part into single rocks, then I made a few clusters with…
Yeah two years =\ was a pain in the arse doing my last characters textures, considering they were all handpainted > < Not sure what to do with nostrils, every time i do a face its the nostrils and eyes that get me. Yeah, I went to the University of Teesside in Middlesborough (finished right before fees tripled to 9k a year…
Nice! Immediately recognized the plaza. The UE4 shots appear a bit washed out though. Are you going to let UE4 do the shadows and some AO for you? Otherwise some handpainted shadow splats beneath those generators for instance would be great. I can feel a rush of nostalgia coming along already. Looking forward to your…
Well it's all just handpainted in photoshop, so no photorealistc textures were involved. && the lionhead doorknocker I just found a cool photo online and started sculpting in zbrush lol. Its just a highres so I never got a whole workflow on it, but I would have retopped it for a low res, baked maps with quixel/xNormal and…
Oh yeah, well I kept thinking about skyboxes, where the cube can actually fill the view at times. But reflection maps aren't so obvious. And handpainting is not hard, like you say, you can paint amazing things with the right set of hands. :) Just not the copy/paste kind of shortcut I think FAT_CAP was looking for.
yeah, I suppose I have only got to a certain stage with it and although my stuff is getting there, its just frustrating that i seem to have to start again after years doing smallish handpainted textures I suppose what bugs me most is that normal maps at least for heads and orgainc stuff have a tendency to look scruffy
Had a lot of fun working on this! This is a fanart of Trevor Belmont from Netflix's Castlevania. I always wanted to reimagine him as a handpainted game model so here it is. C+C welcome here especially since it's my first male character and action pose rig ^^; Artstation Post Link Character Rig is available for Free on my…
Hi everyone, here's my last piece. It's a skaven plague priest from the warhammer universe. I really love darksiders artstyle and I wanted to make him look like an ennemy you could meet in DS3. That's why I worked more on a stylized sculpt with realistic texturing than fully handpainted. For more, go check my artstation ;)…
Hello everyone! I'm new to Polycount. I'm currently an Animation/Illustration at SJSU. I decided to start posting more of my work so I can get feedback from you all. Thanks for looking! First off, I just completed a handpainted low poly Bighorn Sheep. I started a simple rig, but I'd like to complete a full rig for it soon.
