All really great crits Snowfly, I'll get on that immediately. And @Vig, there is a green dot? I'm not seeing it, could you circle it for me or something? When I maximize the saturation on the texture file, no green reveals itself to me but maybe I just fixed it since then without realizing it. -
Re: Boolean difference problem
I notice your cube hasn't got enough edges to support the boolean, try few edge connects and perform it again. As you can see, the first 'success' hole has an edge connecting it. Usually 12 sided is enough to make perfect circle when you subdivide it. -

Look for "jazzercise", an old Cinemax show. Damn, that was funny. Mid-80's, woman in spandex, stretching. What's funny is the trademark camera moves and bad music. One angle in particular points straight down on the women, as they stand in a circle, bouncing their rears around. Quite amusing indeed. -

or if your set on doing the roof in that manner, do a 'sphere' unwrap so it unwraps as a circle as if your looking from the top down. i think tilable might be the way to go for you right now. but if your happy with the results meh go with it. like your pillar, looks good -

Read up on carpal tunnel. I found some good excercise processes when researching it. One that I found that helped was putting your arm out fairly straight, make a fist, then rotate your fist in a clockwise circle. Then after 12 rotations, reverse the direction... repeat. -

i was a beta tester for modo, and really its not the all singing dancing modeling app it claims to be. i was more than dissapointed with the beta. i highly recomend silo, it far exceeds my expectations for a 100 dollar app and it runs circles around modo, in preformance and USEFUL features. -

I'm going to scotland tomorrow as well... apparently its going to be COLD. Which leads me full circle to no-pants. I've tried - lord knows I have - but I'm damned if my legs just do not get too cold. Not for me, the subtractive leg clothing lifestyle. -

Focus more on looking at *actual* assets as opposed to only "researching stuff". There are hundreds of such assets available out there, free and paid. Otherwise you'll just be going in circles, wondering about things that turn out to not matter at all in practice. You are a user, not a graphics rendering engineer. -

I see thanks, i also noticed that they fixed the issue with the scale tool using the industry compatible keymap. When i was trying to scale equally in all directions i had some problem with the small white circle that behaved strangely. Now it works correctly.
