To get rid of the verts you need to hold Ctrl then hit Backspace. As for the edge loop selections, Alt R and Alt L will select rings and loops respectivly. I believe they also added the shift click from 2010 onwards to select rings.
Wonderful work, really like the fabrics:) One thing I noticed though, the lace on the side of her pants is wrong I think. The lace should go over the fabric and the ring, and the out under the ring and the fabric.

This came out great cycloverid, but I do agree with Peris. In the concept, it has a bit of a purplish hue to some of the parts which if added, would bring this piece "alive" just a bit more. Either way the execution is flawless, I would love to see the flats as well. Great work man!
They had left hand rings... just depends on which one you select. Odd they wouldn't have you choose the ring, then the side/hand. I didn't see where I could do the face paint though :/
