Because this looks like a Deus Ex concept you may want to check this out. This was one of the monthly noob env art challenges that also used Deus Ex work. May give you some ideas seeing how other people worked. http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=126422
nathanbarrett: yeah, I use templates (by Tor Frick for his one-texture environment, Jordan Walker for his Bathhouse Redux, and also Vincent Joyau's Deus-Ex Apartment) I love the art style and want to try and create a scene that evokes a similar mood. (Bathhouse Redux,Deus-Ex Apartment)
AO will be looked into :) thanks kmactastic. I'm also happy to say I've finally gotten Oculus Rift to work. Both dev kits now work with the standalone game thanks to some great UE4 support. the reason why it took so long was because the dev kits aren't always at my disposal.
Hey hey hey. Just getting around to creating my thread. I've decided to start by blocking out the creep den which I'm hoping to try to push some kind of ancient mythological greece style. My initial blockout for the creep den. I would like this to almost be colosseum style, arena combat area with the respective blue or red…

For me, the argument of weak-mobile-gpu versus need-to-drive-high-def-screen clinches it. Fairly annoyed that Microsoft's Surface Pros are following the high-def craze, for no apparent reason other than marketing checkboxes. Well, and by their silly pen - a sales rep recently told me the eraser-head button is perfect for…

I really dislike all these "promotional" videos... there doesn't seem to be a lot of in depth info / breakdown... and I would love to hear some feedback from devs who are currently using it. Do we have any Fatshark / Arrowhead devs at Polycount?
As a dev, we've had lots of issues with ATI with our game, and my personal experience with ATI's have all been poor. :( ATI's always been on my shit list since back in the day they released those 'dev' drivers that allowed anyone to cheat in any 3d game by rendering wireframe modes. :D
I'm Sure most of you are like me and love watching game dev diaries and bts videos, ive watched as many as i can get my hands on, i watched the halo 3 legendary bonus disc set so much that the dvd simply wont read any longer, i find them so inspiring, does anyone have any good recommendations on dev diaries? one you find…
You should also understand that you get a momentary glimpse of our plans in the form of a release. The way things are doesn't always imply the way things will be, it is just a snapshot in time. We fully understand that some aspects of our UI have been compromised by the core efforts we've been doing around XBR. Perhaps…
