try to remove the shelf options you have highlighted and the auto uvw, use the bare minimum render settings and work your way up ffrom there, that sounds indeed bizarre
@cfey Thanks! I used MD to sim the cloth on the bed but its difficult to fold it under like in the concept. especially if it has more than one side. I think I will probably end up simulating it, then moving it with FFD then sculpting in ZBrush to get an accurate result @Tzur_H Keep up the good work man, It's looking much…
Finished the low, sitting at 7074 tris with everything mirrored/instanced. Currently only have test bake done and applied, baked at 1024. I have changed the geo and the UV pack a bit since that first bake so some of the pieces are a bit off but that will be resolved once I finish the HQ bakes. I think I will be able to do…
I recommend looking into action and fallofs (especially fallofs) next. There is nothing like lattice and FFD in Modo so you'll need fallofs. Here is the exhaustive list of tutorials - http://community.thefoundry.co.uk/discussion/topic.aspx?f=36&t=80320 This one was particularly useful - https://vimeo.com/10434206

Looking pretty good. If I had to crit something I would say there are a lot of straight lines and tight right angles. Nothing says poor and ramshackle like a little FFD and fudged up lines. If you're going to build a city, start thinking about working modular...…
This is one of the famous ones out there. We had this done in class at some point. Enjoy! http://www.3dtotal.com/ffa/tutorials/max/joanofarc/joanmenu.php P.S. Also the Maya version exists just in case anyone was wondering.
Wait, I thought everyone in Japan had rectangle tv's since the 80's? I've noticed the ps2 actually looks worse at 480p, it's super jaggy and there is this weird cross hatch effect on all the textures I actually prefer the upscale since it blurs the edges, FFXII looks really nice upscaled on my 37" Sharp Aquous something I…
