i dont think that would really make a difference, that just allows for more detail, so you'll have the small cracks n things really showing which i dont think is the case here. do you think you can give us the normal map to take a look at?
and just now i made quick-n-dirty spec, ao and normals from my texture. watching this video, http://www.digitaltutors.com/11/training.php?vid=9384&autoplay=1 do i need to have all the objects and nodes set up in hypershade to properly apply normals, etc?
Your edge padding looks ridiculously small, make sure you are using the outpout map from your hard drive and not the preview window. Also, adding smoothing groups will give a tiny seam and shouldn't be n noticeable unless you zoom in insanely close like you are doing right now.
I've been using a intuos3 4x6 for like 10 years- only had to replace the cord when my dog chewed it. It is just now showing wear n tear on the surface where it is used the most. for what its worth I have not heard anything bad about the intuos 4s really.
maybe it's just me, but dosen't it seem like there have been just tons of doomsday articles about gaming lately? and they all feel really sensationalist and uninformed to me. and just so you know, I just found out the only thing separating uninformed and uniformed, is an "N". coincedence?? I think not.
Fixed it ... well kinda - Haven't tested it but it compiles now. I had to comment out some math in the Translucency lighting model function. Might looked borked. //==============================Info===============================/*Soft Light Skin Shaderrelease 1 (First public release)History: - R1 (10/05/2006): Initial…
@tierzilla: Thanks I build them up with standard/orbs cracks/clay buildup, smooth where appropriate and hpolish some planes in. @JedTheKrampus: youre right, ive adjusted it. @JohnnyRaptor: great boot refs! Belts n damage pass to go, that breastplate is driving me nuts, ive adjusted it 1000 times.
Im curious about the terrain deformation. I hope they apply that to vechiles so you can have dents 'n dings in your tank and stuff as it takes on damage. getting wheels blown off and whatnot would be totally awesome. Im stoked cuz i wanna destroy buildins and level that pretty city of yours
o wow really nice work...great hi poly n textures to boot. 1 thing I'd say tho for your presentation would be to scale down your images a bit. You're most likely almost never going to get that close to the gun in game, so why should your renders be that big as well?
Wirrexx, I searched "water heater" and was able to find plenty of good reference: https://www.google.com/search?q=water+heater&aq=0&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=wPn_UNjGEtOK2QXvoIDIBg&biw=1440&bih=815&sei=wvn_UOfXG6ig2QXMgIHQBA
