I just got back from seeing it right now. Overall I thought it was a great film, but I defineatly agree that some parts were not needed. The T-Rex fight scene was just amazing, though.
The t-rex was always too expensive for me to get... ...this is why men invented the 3d package - so we can have any toy we want. Nice work there. Doesn't mudbox have a displacement map export?
Thank you so much for sharing, Yosuke. I love seeing the King Kong vs. T-Rex showdown again! Parallax, Refraction, and Blending are missing right now, but not forgotten. We will get those back into Toolbag 2.0 soon.
Yo! It felt a lot more professional now:) I'm afraid that you might have gone overboard with the T-rex tail though - it feels like a balloon or jelly-tail now... Just noticed the Bob Hund icon in the background, nice:)
The facial bony landmarks and structures on the pterodactyl, t-rex, and velociraptor could use more AO and definition to make them pop out. In several subtle locations, they're reading a little too flat for it's own good. They all have solid base textures though.
Urgh, there's something sticky in my pants, and I can't decide wether it was Naomi or Kong that caused it. Man, that little look down Kong does as he's squaring up to the T Rex. Awesome. There's a real sense of thought process and life behind the eyes. Go Weta!
Thanks Guys, OK so... RexM I will definitely go back to the textures and take out the extra wear and grime on areas that dont need it, Yeah I agree now that you say it they are pretty busy. But what do you mean to many tillable textures? Are you talking about the floor and the walls, because I am not sure what I could do…
Dude really nice dino anims! With the braco I think it could do with a little more weight on the downs to emphasise its size(probs with some stronger follow through on the head/neck area). The t-rex cycle is sick and im loving the bracos tail swinging=D
pfft. Dont give me that crap. Its obviously about the suspension of disbelief. If the blond girl suddenly floated around and waved her arms and turned kong into a cricket, would you tell me I should believe that too? After all, there ARE t-rex's and giant monkeys in it.
notman, I got it from aintitcoolnews.com. Really doesn't help in your search for widescreen desktop images, though....unless you want Kong or a T-Rex for your desktop. http://www.aintitcoolnews.com/images/kkt/ I usually just find highres images and make my own.
