Yeah I agree, Id expect some scales or much deeper cracks/folds in the skin to give him the armoured hide look. -

For your first "serious" attempt at texturing that's looking pretty sweet. Nice armour! Can't see any immediate problems with seams either. -

So I added some clothes/armour. Everything here is the lowpoly model with a normal map baked on it. Redoing the beast a bit now. -

daphz: What material is the "skirt" (bottom part of the armor) Judging by it's thickness and the bolts it looks pretty solid and would most likely prevent her from moving at all. And that spiky design would probably kill any horse/creature she rides so that wouldn't be an option either... Maybe have another look at the… -

Very cool! I think the armour looks great. If I had to quickly crit something it would be that his skin texture/material needs more tonal variation in it. -
