"Venom Games was originally asked to handle the PS3 version of BioShock (to be released at the same time as the 360 version) but its coders said it wasn't possible. The PS3 version is now in development at 2K's Marin studio." Ouch :(
[ QUOTE ] that is really cool, I would really like to know your process for modeling this, especially the tread in the tires. -Neil [/ QUOTE ] for the tires, i model the thread flat, extrude the bumps and then bend the track on 360
Get a budget nVidia card, a 360 will do fine, for a DX11 take a 460, and so far, the best for price/performance ratio is 560. ATi isn't partners with nVidia so they get alot of penalties as far as such areas are concerned.
You can convert but you might not get what you expect all the time. Quats don't wind up for instance by default so converting an Euler that does a full 360 will result in an object that doesn't rotate at all.
Has anyone ever taken a 365 sketch a day challenge? I'm definitely gonna take it up next year to discipline myself, alot of the time I'm either without a sketchpad or not motivated enough to pickup the pencil and go for it.
Yeeaaaaaaa Booooouuuuuuiiiiiii Just picked it up yesterday. Last 167' left in North America She gets her first ride this sunday up at Cypress :D Picked up some Bent Metal Bindings too.. but no pic.
I made my low poly with UVS. Current 167 tris, with symmetrical detail, its 180 tris. I also tried building the LOD0 first, but it didn't work out. The cylinder has 8 sides so....
These are great! My one advice is to upload smaller file sizes. 1920 or so is a good maximum size. The last two you posted were 4500 x 3187 (about 5mb!) and 3267 x 2453 (about 3mb!).
I was ignoring it because of the Disney stamp on the cover and when I finally tried it on a friend's 360 I was really surprised! It is fast and fun and I really like the way the tricks break up the racing for just a little bit.
WHOA ! What did you use to model it with? if possible throw it into the UT ED, and see if it looks ok in there on a 360 spectrum see if you get that 2d look in that as well if so there should be a way to correct that while you're in it. ... maybe
