I agree with Rokugan, it looks good overall but the skin is just off. Fizz is essentially a fish which means he should be slick and slippery looking, right now he looks more like a reptile or something. I also main Fizz so that's cool :D
I would recommend to NOT get too caught in online tutorials or manuals, are these get convoluted VERY fast. I leart the app by following the Angler Fish video. I think it was back in ZB2. It covered all the basics and this should get you started easily. Good luck!
Yeah, I did that once ^^;; So it's something I'm aware of that I do. OR, what happens is I get a little star struck and even though I have interesting and intelligent things to say. My brain goes blank and i just gap like a fish!
Hey purge! I am an indie game developer and am looking for an artist to start working with, let me know if you would be interested in throwing some models together for a game or two! Right now I am making a hoverboard racing game and a fishing game.
[ QUOTE ] -also the no eyelid part bugs me, but maybe that's just me? Eyelids would allow you to play with some expression though. -good stuff! [/ QUOTE ] Personally I find the lack of eye expression quite creepy! It looks docile.. almost like a cow or a fish..
I think it's a great idea. It's very similar to the idea we proposed a couple months ago (right when we got lots of new broken down heroes), where we service heroes that don't get much attention, this is similar but specifically fish themed. I think it could work well.
It only tends to be subd too early that has a bad effect on peeps modelling, not understanding correct topology & meshflow beforehand. Where as sculpting is more closely related to 2d, I've seen loads of concept artists with no 3d experience jump straight into zbrush like a fish to water and produce some quality stuff.
Looks very nice! Two things stick out to me though: 1) The deer crossing sign is awfully thick and 2) The skid marks don't seem very realistic. The car would have probably fish tailed from such an abrupt turn. I would angle the car differently and adjust the marks.
yeah kronenburg is a bit rank, staropramen is passable as is baltika(IMHO) I drink red wine mainly though Brits don't eat fish and chips all the time, its only ever been an occasional treat. I agree indian retaurants are great as are thai and viet loads of vietnamese restaurants in shoreditch
so does anyone know a good place to hangout with some people working with maya/zbrush? Im one of very few (3) people in my uni group trying to focus on 3D Environmet Art. I just want to chat about the day's weather, my work, your work, that fish there. or anything you want, with great artists! I need FRIENDS!
