Here's an update to where I am. I have the rifle unwrapped, I probably will need to make changes. I've circled some problem areas I have and will be working on. Let me know if I'm on the right track! Please?:shifty:
Well after messing with it some more I figured out a fix for it. The circled are is what I added in, using the diamond gradient will a falloff and one minus I was able to get the outer leafs to shake. While the center remains more solid.
Looks like you messed up on the board ends on the top. You put the sawed off part on the wrong side at the top of the crate. I've circled what I'm talking about. Other than that very nice crate so far.
@Target_Renegade: Looks like Stalker! I remembered these shots from the CG Society feature on T4:Salvation - shame about the game, the environments look really good. Also, Bionic Commando: And to go full-circle on the Grin environment power-house :) :
Jack: Try tracing a circle on your tablet, and then you'll notice. I use a 4:3 tablet both at home & at work, but both 16:10 monitors...so Ive gotten used to it. That said, I'll be budgeting for this new tablet anyway.
It drives me crazy. Here is an other problem. I baked a normal map for a props, and at a groove I got some wavy edges. The normal map is for the end of the cylinder, where there is a bulge. And the first circled area is the area where the cylinder is bended.
kotaku? really? a bunch of mindless idiots circle jerking the "writers" this doesnt look anything like TF2 art style I do however think that whoever made the video wanted to make it look like TF2 with the choreography and music and pacing.
Circled area: Seems too bright. It sticks out a lot... sticks out as in.. catching attention. Arrow: Texture seems stretched and blurry? Also the textures for the walls/pillars are all very similar.. might wanna look into something more separating.
The fan has so much polys on the circle parts for an object that's so small. That effect could probably be achieved even with a normal map. Also that hovering chair has excessive edge wear in my opinion. Overall good job on this so far keep it up.
Do you have any concept, reference or idea behind this scene? This early I see circles, boxes and triangles, and they worry me that they won't be pulled together. You said it yourself, this is your first, so you gotta be worked for a plan lest thee be doomed.
