Yeah, the 360 render is not up to offline quality. It looks like a simple 1-bounce global illum render, done as a cubemap. This is fairly easy to make, there should be some related libraries on GitHub or similar to start with.
Trailer was done by Axis Animation. Theres up to 4 player drop in/out coop, set on a desert island with limited weapons/ammo. Game is on Techlands Chrome Engine and is planned for a PC/360/PS3 release.
I like your ideas with this. Are you thinking of hanging long cloth up like this ref? I'm actually wondering if the throne room has to be like a 360 or if it's just like a box with one side removed..
oh shit, iv done the very same thing when i was putting photos together for my texture database! whoo! this was a few years ago tho...damn, orwell is doing 360s in his grave!
It's not for people that are comfortable with controllers - my mom was able to get a hang of Wii bowling in seconds and kick my butt. If I hand her a 360 controller I might of been handing her a dead fish.
haha yeah so far it's been mainly 360/pc games. I am pretty sure they will get down resed later but for your portfolio I would do nothing less than a 1024.
hmmm, maybe you could do a bunch of nice skyboxes out of this 360° stuff, too bad the top isn't included and the resolution is quite low. But with some artistic talent it would be possible I guess.
i actually picked up the 19" Gateway widescreen one. It does 720p for my 360 which is nice and the color is wonderful, plus it only cost 190 bucks. But yeah Samsung or the Dell LCDs are great.
Just checked Play, Rick, and they say 4/2/2006. although Amazon say Friday (360 day!) Finished Beyond Good & Evil last week, so I need another quality game
I was going to be getting Conviction on PC but it isn't out in the UK for PC until 30th April, and now that someone mentioned Ubi's DRM I think I'm probably going to be getting this on 360 tomorrow instead.
