I know you're a professional in the industry, but from everything I've been told, seen, and heard, you should just toss your older work on another site if you want it online. -

Projection distance is how far out along the normals of the low poly mesh the Baker searches for things to bake. If you use a cage it'll search up to where the cage is, if not it will usually use a set distance. Good settings to start with for substance bakes are 0.01 forward and 0.5 back (in Bounding box space) . If… -

just use the highest SSAO quality instead of default one. You cn change that in the default postfx chain. Set you grass normals upward and put a 0.5 value in transmission mask, that should help sell it. Also, get a ground texture that meets the model color or the oposite, and dont overdo the DOF, it's mostly killing it… -

Ok optimized the mesh a little more, took it down from 2005 tris to 1620 tris - that sufficient enough? Correct me if I'm wrong, so you're saying the wavy effect on the handle notches are supposed to be there then? I've got a lazier way. Just combined the two (what I assume are square) textures side by side into a new 2:1 texture. Offset the UV's of the model to the left texture by 1, scale all by 50%, move right by 0.5... done. Don't have to rebake anything, can still use source .psd's by textures... but only if your engine supports…
