Looking good already with nice preparation! Lately I'm learning more about highpoly modeling and normal baking and I was wondering, shouldnt you use more soft/wider edges in your highpoly so they can be picked up in the normal map? Ha, NEX was the plugin that Autodesk adopted into their now, Modeling Toolkit (MTK). Haven't used Maya LT, so sorry for the probable incorrect comment before :) lol you can't really go wrong with re uv'ing it if it's just a simple card w rounded corners, etc. Shouldn't take long i'd imagine

I agree--it does look interesting. I think it looked more interesting w/o the head...but i'm sure if you keep it up, the head will look awesome too. What do you mean about the seperate pieces? Maybe if you show what's seperate and whats not, it will help clear up the question

ZacD - We weren't given limits for the assignment, but my model is currently at 3849 tris with a 1024x1024 texture Low poly w/ normal map update. I'm aware of the seam from the normal map on the bell part and will be fixing that in the next update. Also fixed some fisheye camera issues :|
I knew substance was big, but didnt expect it to be this dominant. this makes me feel more comfortable saying its the industry standard,w hich I really didnt think it was. @Justin Meisse - If I recall correctly you can export your substance painter files into PSDs now :)

Played with Jordan W & Kevin J for a bit. Then animatr, I and a bunch of his friends went until 7:44am and my wife made me coffee in the morning so we could finish all 50 waves of enemies on Horde. Wave 45 kicked our asses bad!
just a quick question for the users....i realize you can select stepmode and select one poly...then select another poly along the same loop/ring and it will highlight all the polies inbetween. however, i can't get this to work w/edge selection. anyone else have that issue?
