Hi there! Here's a new one. Short background story: The dragon stood guard of the moon stones placed in the mountain of cliffs until he turned into cliffs himself. His eyes and mind stayed focused so that he would be ready when the thieves one day would try to steal the stones away. You'll find some W.I.P pics here:…
nice sketch but i think you should think about the composition. currently i see a lot of green...mostly the same number of detail everywhere and also color. i think it would be more isteresting when for example the trees on the right side would be covered by blue shadow of the stone wall, maybe more red to the stones as…
I don't know if it's just me, but I think the stones on the ground are far to big... they make the scene feel off. Somehow I have the feeling that the propotions are wrong, the tunnel seems to be not high enough to walk through it without problems. If you want the statue to be big, than you'll need to rescale the ground…
@ESFGames- Thanks! Textures will be coming soon enough :) . @rogelio- Glad you like the workflow and that you think the read is there already! @JamieRIOT- Cool! Updates- Added more stones and varied the size of some stones. I also sunk more of them into the dirt to give them a more grounded and believable feel. As well, I…
Really epic work on this project dude your scene looks incredible and is really inspiring! For the floor textures I'd have to say i like the first one best as the circular design of the walking stones id nice and refreshing when compared with alot of the square stone design you have going on in the rest of the scene. Keep…
I'm really loving the style you've chosen to do this in! Very well done. For the brick that you have, maybe just add sliiiight color variation between some of the stones. Right now it is looking very uniform and while the stones are generally the same color they usually have minimal color variations. It'll also just make…
Hey Spud, thanks for the comment! I agree, they're a bit flat but I'm not too sure what to do. The hardsurface stuff is indeed stone; I was having a hard time with it because I didn't want to add too much extra detail on top of the sculpt but now it looks plain and boring. Any suggestions on how to do the stone? More…
I know going on the internet and taking textures is a big no no (unless you have permission from the creator) but does that extent to images to use as a base to make a texture I'm currently working on something that requires a stone brink texture but I'm having a hard time making it strait from Photoshop but I found a…
Looking good. U can probably make another modular piece to break up the tiling for that stone. thou the stones may not be that easy to see any way, cause the placement of the house in the scene. u should put what u have so far in to the editor with your block in, so u can tell how much of the tiling your going to actually…
Fairly entry-level, but my experiments in using chained bump-offset parallax in UE4 have yielded this cobblestone material. Each stone in the tiling texture is given a unique value, which I add another value to (incrementing per repetition) and feed into a cell noise function. This way, every stone can be given a unique,…
