Hello everyone! Wayfair, the tech E-commerce company is hiring a 3D Modeling Manager! Like the rest of the company, our 3D Visualization team is growing at a steady rate. The 3D Modeling Manager will lead and mentor a team of artists. We are looking for someone who is not only able to produce high quality 3D models, but…
so progress on this so far. Here are some test renders. Looking to get feedback on my texturing. I'm going for a used look, not completely destroyed/damaged. Just a few years old maybe. I also would like to know if this is in the direction of being portfolio quality game asset. as that is my ultimate goal. I will post the…
good progress, have a look at this info for a way to add an ambient cubemap for lighting/reflections https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Rendering/LightingAndShadows/AmbientCubemap/ from what I remember its part of the post process volume. I use unity 3d a lot more than ue4 though so Im no expert.
Thanks again man! Here is a screen grab I had laying around, the fov is messed up but its the final highpoly I believe. This is in my work in progress thread here as well, not sure if you looked thru that at all, but it pretty much shows my whole process. http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=138722
I'd like to know how to make to put the images in the middle of the post, but until I learn how here there are some more images of the work in progress attached. By tomorrow I think I would have finished the chest already. I'm thinking in making a video of the process of the clothes or some other part. Would you like it?

If this is a bad habit, know that you'll never reach perfection, so now is a good time to start small and begin appreciating your own progress. Maybe save a snapshot every hour and keep it around, then review in a weeks time after…
Been making some slow progress on this project over spring break. Just a lot of trial and error with getting my lows to match up with my highs cleanly, etc. Here are a few shots of both my exploded high and low poly layers. Any advice about the process (as I understand there are many) or crits are welcome!
toxic_h2o: I would have to agree whole heartedly. Thank you for giving that artist a name, man does he do good work. InProgress: I do intend in having another go at that damn puddle, I think I will have to make it a decal as I can't get it to look good as a straight Landscape material. I think I may of reduced the noise…
@pr0sorrow: Thanks! Unfortunately given the time left and the progress made its very unlikely this will get finished in time however there is progress and one of the stands has been textured, im gonna keep working on this once uni is finished too. Want to really do it justice. @ljwillow: Thanks :) Im currently in the…
