I just started working on this surveillance room. I'm making this level using modular pieces, thinking about extending the level past this scene. I'm not happy with the lighting at the moment, which consists of a single point light, but it'll do for now. Here's some prop work I've done so far:
I would overlap the sides if possible and tile the tread pattern (let it extend outside 0-1 space) if I had text to put on the sidewall of the tyre I would map that part flat as you have for the wheel itself But in principal that is the right way to do it
If you're using glTF format there's an extension for colored specular KHR_materials_specular or you can use the older but still valid extension KHR_materials_pbrSpecularGlossiness.
I would have kept the original shotgun and just edit the stock to make it shorter since the real m500 stock is about half the size of yours. As for the tactical shotgun. You did great on the stock! Could it be possible to see different pictures of the stock extended?
now that your digging in the sdk do you know if its viable to extend editable poly to include your quad chamfer script. I use it quite a bit but allways end up wishing that it was native rather than scripted (previews are damn slow.)
Step 10, After rearranging lines. Looks like little hairs sticking out the sides. You might need to extend the base a little bit and make it taller and add more subdivisions. Rearrange your lines some more if base is not tall already.
youre a genius, thanks for the advice! off to adding more detail now :P also, would you happen to know how to extend a curve after drawing it? it seems to be locked to the starting draw size by default, i cant drag it out any further
Interessting work so far. I think you need to add some volume to the toe of the shoes, and extend the sole a bit. Don't worry about getting torn apart, if you do just rebuild and improve and you'll start to level up :D
