Tools aren't really my problem, it's the basic workflow as pointed out by Matt Fagan. UV visibility vs selectability, UV sync, etc. Just incompatible with me it appears. Thankfully my job doesn't require complex UV mapping or I'd have to either bring in a speciality app or use Autodesk for that. If I need anything done…
I use Autodesk Maya to create great 3D animation. I am very efficient in the software and I also have learned to model and render high quality imagery in the software. https://vimeo.com/169219359
Today Only 50% off New Egg Shell Shocker. $29.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832168092 An upgrade from Autodesk to sketchbook designer 2012 would be about $250?
This is my sketchbook, most will be produced with Autodesk Sketchbook Pro, but also some traditional sketches as well. Going into character design/concepts but will learn background as well. Criticism is very welcome. I will respond as well. Let's begin.
didnt do haircards with ornatrix yet, but does https://ephere.com/plugins/autodesk/max/ornatrix/docs/7/Normalize_Modifier.html the normalize modifier maybe work the same way here?
the most kryptic is "smoothing" which I think is incorrectly labelled and should be smoothing groups, but I'd really like to confirm with some Autodesk documentation which I can't find.
Autodesk were pretty clear iirc. If you are contracted to provide a specific asset or number of assets at a specific cost then you're ok If you are contracted to work for a period of time you're not
The discount is substantial, as well. It's the best deal around for anyone looking to grab a commercial license, in my opinion, and I'm glad Autodesk offers a path for students to obtain full licenses.
Bet we wouldn't see it in Max/Maya till somebody ones do it for Cycles baking in Blender. I asked Autodesk for the feature decades ago, then just gave up.
there is the new stingray shader in max... its a PBR shader they use for export to the autodesk angine... it will work also with other engines.. [ame] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlzDIacosRA[/ame]
