hi yumiko, There are many cities aside from the three you mentioned. Smaller cities have lots of opportunities but people from outside Canada (and even inside) don't know about these opportunities: www uniivaa com for a job in canada don t-go with-the-big-labels
Hey there i know its old but its a prity good tutorial and its one i first did when i started doing characters, it has a good step by step, worth having a look. http://www.3dtotal.com/pages/tutorials/max/joanofarc/joanmenu.php
There is a foliage tutorial by 3D Motive that is for UDK, but the principles will be identical to what you would need in Unity. https://www.3dmotive.com/f102101 Also check out some of the stuff on the wiki here. http://wiki.polycount.com/CategoryEnvironmentFoliage…
Got into the 3dTotal gallery If you like, you can vote for my image via this link: http://www.3dtotal.com/galleries/image/Fantasy/7363-prey-hunt-by-arnaud-lonys-tgc2016-ifcc-bird-lion-tiger-scavenger-forest-creature-substance-keyshot-zbrush
fade1 You can also half a normal map too. http://www.3dcolor.ru/game_art/big/64.jpg It looks more specific. In Maya the solution is http://download.autodesk.com/global/docs/maya2012/en_us/files/Asts_Creating_and_using_mirrored_normal_maps_on_a_character_or_object.htm But I'm sure in 3ds it can also be done .
Imagine it as smooth resin layers pasted over each-other, a good reference is some of the old ww2 MP40s used the materials for their body (The brown parts in most images). I think most AK74 mags are the same material too albit rougher. Hopefully these help :D
4&8 go best with the background. You want this evilish german hightech feel which is so damn cold and harsh. the Helghast are heavily inspired by WW2 german tech, and the concept shows this aswell. Id go with colder tones than you have on your examples.
Hi man, I'm using one of your Gumroad packs for our WW2 game. The muddy tire tracks are fantastic. I can feel all the hard work. Very helpful thread full of useful tips as well. Just wanted to pay my respects!
You can start with either Zbrush or Maya. Both are proper pipeline. However, if your anatomy skill isn't so great, I'd recommend you start in Maya to create basemesh first. Link - http://www.3dtotal.com/ffa/tutorials/max/joanofarc/head1.php
