It's worth pointing out that all of the Kinect mo-cap solutions require the Kinect for Windows, which is a different model from the Kinect for XBox 360. So if you have a 360 Kinect, don't expect that you will be able to use it for mo-cap. The Windows Kinect is around $300, which is still extremely cheap for a bare-bones… -

no i have the tiles selected as a whole so i could go through them and select each one and average.. but i have 300+ in this texture (x 4 clicks of the mouse etc = a fuck load of time) and i do this fairly often so im trying to find if theres a more time efficient (and less ball busting) method -

Good god, your normal maps are pristine, and your texturing is incredible. I put over 300 hours of my childhood into PSO for Dreamcast; I'll be watching this thread. Edit: P.S. - Can you please upload some wireframes? I know it's probably just simple shapes, but I'd like to see how you ordered your topology. -

Cheers guys, the block out has been slow with me being horribly ill and being away for the past couple of weeks. It has some smoothing on it, think the poly count is roughly 30k atm, though its a bit hard to tell with a bunch of the objects made from splines so the selection just reads "0" Enjoy the colours! -

yes it was, diablo 3 was so purrrdy...... and it was pretty fun too! i wish i would of kept the mount card, i traded it for the cinematics art book, but now i see those cards fetching 300 bones on ebay, but apparently the book is sold out and they are not going to print anymore, and i have something really nice to look at. -

fwiw I was offered a job at EA once upon a time and they offered me significantly ( 30k ) more $$$ than what I was currently getting for the same responsibilities, which surprised me a whole lot considering what I'd 'heard'. IF money motivates you, you could probably do a whole lot worse than EA.... just sayin. -

Hahaha, I know right. "GoW2, now with 300% more stereotype kungfu action" The ridiculousness of the new characters aside, I do hope they tell multiplayer to f*#k off and make an amazing story (not go the halo route and only develop multiplayer) Because gears does have a really good base to build a really awesome story on. -

Haven't seen the movie yet but probably will later this…
