Hi, I seek critique and would appreciate feedback from all. Its a work in progress, blocking and testing at this stage. Plus, learning substance designer for tileable textures. Thank you. Portfolio: https://www.artstation.com/neeraz Substance Designer: Rope Material "1024" >>> UPDATED Rope MTL <<<
Yeah, sure. Here's a FP view and some more updates with optimised LP model :) For the first person camera I use vertical FOV with 60 degrees angle same as for CryENGINE3 Polys: 2 599 Tris: 4 624
Here's the finished render of my fusion coil: 1024*2048 textures and ~1400 tris. It took way too long to create, but I think I learned quite a bit during this project so I feel it was worth it anyway.
Here are the maps, I've scaled them down to 1024. SPEC: GLOSS: When I export the images would the colour bit or density play a part in the texture? If so would is there a target to aim for and a way to import it right into unity? Thanks.
I did a rock sculpt today (my first!). This is part of my new ideas for the Dungeon Corridor environment. Mudbox 2012, Blender (retopo/baking), Photoshop,Marmoset Toolbag (spec map isn't going to be 1024, it's going to be 512..)
Is it only me who see the endless possibility that Bloodhound Gang's The Bad touch could be featured here? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xat1GVnl8-k&feature=player_detailpage#t=124s It's a long shot but hey, so is the plot for this movie.
Just guessing but each pass has 2 512's for each character, if he used one 1024 that would be 4 512's. 2 more then he needs. 1024x1024 = 4 512x512 512x512 = 4 256x256 and so on.
Been playing quite profusely today, helo fun! xD If any of you suffer those LCD 1280x1024 woes, changing the .con won't work but adding " +szx 1280 +szy 1024 " into the targetbox of the shortcut does work and it's beautiful =]
I think 2048 textures is overkill for the amount of detail you've got showing. Seeing as it's mostly all solid colors, 1024 would be more appropriate, though I bet you could get nearly the same from a 512
Wow, it runs like absolute crap on my machine. I have a fairly decent computer that I built last year, and even on 1024 x 768 I get around 15 fps. Looks absolutly amazing tho.
