go to the performance tab of task manager, and squint through the two graphs until they form a magic eye picture and let us know what you see -

I think the reason for that is a by-product of how the film industry operates now in comparison to his era. Films are released every week, thousands a year. it is less 'magical'. -

Not that hard, make the form of the hold, select the edges round, extrude and extrude again. Copy it where I need them, then compine them, and do some magic ;) -
