Err... objects with 100% self illumination cast shadows on other objects, they just don't receive any shadows. The stick on the left is 100% self illuminated. film pipelines are working mostly with tifs... mudbox does sometimes strange things if you work with tgas... its flipping your textures... but with tifs i never had a problem... mudbox works also better with 16bit during painting... much cleaner color mixing... i convert all my 16bit tif files later into tgas if i have to… -

I don't think I understand where you're going with this. If you make a normal map from a texture it's per-pixel. It should match the texture 100%. If you're baking the normal map from a hires mesh, it's baking down to the same UV's as the lowpoly already has. So again, it's a 100% match. Are you talking about overlays?… -

I would absolutely not do it that way. Thats a lot of rendering. Just imagine you render 100 images with the different logos. Send it in. Client says "oh, the cap on the bottle should be a sphere instead of a cylinder." or something. Now you have to render 100 more times. Do this instead: Render the scene once fully lit in… -

Hi @ElephantFury . You could add the 1001-1010. Adding the second thing would cause a serious amount of shader recompilation time when you turn them on / off. BTW, UE 4.32 natively supports udims now, through the virtual texturing feature. Go check it out, as my one is obsolete in this case.
