Well, I think it's just the styles I'm trying to reach for. Because I seem to do well in more set and mechanical or very realistic stuff like anatomy, but not cartoonism. I don't know why.
mine is just an image of Danny Phantom, a cartoon on Nickelodeon from the creator of the Fairly OddParents about a 14year old boy who gained ghost powers through an accident in his ghost hunting parents lab.
Hi, thanks for replying! Yeah, I wasn’t too sure about the glass myself. The depiction in the cartoon is so simplified it’s hard to tell what it’s supposed to look like in real life. I’ll try some other looks though, it’s just a normal map, will be easy to try some variants.
I may be totally biased twords the cartoony link. I startd playing zelda games when the first one on NES came out, didn't really play Zelda 2, then went straight to A Link to the Past. Imo link should always be cartoony, and a cell shaded link seemed to be the perfect way to translate that to 3D. I never owned a N64 and…
also I don't care. My point is (even if this is satire) mens pics are still being uploaded and exploited (if you want to call it that) so satire or not isn't it exactly the same thing. They aren't cartoon drawings of men. They are indeed photos..
The hair stands in sharp contrast to the fairly realsitic folds of the clothes. It looks like it's well on its way to a specific cartoon art direction, but your hair is fighting with the rest of the model. The style needs to be unified to speak louder and more clearly.
Just started quick basic blocking. I just can't resist doing it after seeing the original picture, Chinese environment with Anime+ Cartoon art style, it's just so beautiful. Bit late to the party, but hopefully I'll make it!
I was 10 by that time... hmm Do more sports and go outside, try to convince mom to buy more comics for me, wake up more often at 5 o clock in the morning and watch cartoons the whole morning long.
thicken the arms out a little and work backwards from the cartoon design (as if it was a caricature of a real person), to get alikeness of the face. Kim has a olval face, larger eyes and a pretty sharp nose. Cheekbones aren't yet prominent, but they are there. Scott
I'm here in Atlanta at Cartoon Network. But not planning on attending Dragon-Con. I'd be up for a polycount meetup somewhere! Daven, Didn't know you were at hiRez! Awesome to see people on the forum that turn out to be locals.
