Apologies again for the double-post (triple-post?). I've taken Light On Switch's advice to heart and aggresively mirror/duplicate elements where I can to minimize their footprint on the texture sheet. Here's my two latest texture sheets (1024x1024 and 2048x1024 respectively):
@rogue1 are you sure you're not confusing tris and ngons with 3 and 5 sided poles respectively? As to your question I would terminate the loops. Once you have even sets of edgeloops that you want to terminate, you can always maintain quads.
They add new stuff and its playable, but I believe they still claim it isn't a alpha/beta, and have in game purchasable content for a game that's obviously in dev. I don't trust or respect the developers enough after the "launch" to even really consider buying the game.
Wow, my respect for google just dropped like a rock. Also for the artists who took the offer. Why in the crap would you do a whack load of work for a giant corporation and not get paid. Hafta have a spine like a wet noodle. :P
Hey Guys, fellows, and good sirs, This error keeps coming up and I don't know what it means in terms of fixing it in Maya 2011. I am using mudbox and I am an ametuer. Any help is greatly appreciated and respected. Thank you.
Did a quick test vs Xnormal, both done at 4K with their respective max AA Some minor but visible aliasing seems to show up, mainly in areas where different meshes meet? THe same High Poly, Low Poly and Cage were used.
Well thats my 3rd shipped title under my belt :) I'll be celebrating in Prague this weekend with copious amounts of beer. Reviews are what i expected but at least alot of people are giving the art team respect when it comes to the graphical side of this game.
put my preorder in nearly a month ago (along with my preorder for Halo 2)... I've been offered to play both by a now ex-friend who I no longer respect. Gonna be able to pick up GTA:SA after work on monday! can't.friggin.wait!
I heard about this through the grapevine. Just registered so I could express my thanks to you for such a wonderful gesture to those affected by by the layoffs & closings. Good karma! And congrats on such a solid piece of software, too. Much admiration and respect, Zero Dean
I think Mudbox doesn't respect hard/soft edges, it just displays everything as soft or hard depending on what display settings you have. In this case the cylinders only look right because they're subdivided a lot, while the box isn't (at the edges).
