The crane construction is textured with a single 512 texture with mipmaps and detail map on another channel. The geometry is mapped in a straight line around 60 degrees slant, so that the tiling is not visible. With the weapons, I had way more freedom. Why buy a book if you are going to immediately flip to the last page and put it down? When you boil it all down, games are all about putting a delay between the start and the goal, if you think it's a waste of time I can save you $60 - just look at screenshots & videos online or buy "the art of...." books, that's what I do… -

Thanks guys! MdK you can make yours, by registering here and uploading your image sequence or video. I made a 360 shot with marmoset ( 60 frames) I have plans to make a couple of characters and environment, like a mise en scene when i'll have some free time. I think it will be interesting to try baking maps from zbrush. -

my dad is in his 60's still has every hair on his head, wich are still 50% dark and colored, so im not too worried about mine falling out anytime soon. though, im loosing alot of hair these days, everytime i take a brush through it, its filled up with hair, probably need more sleep and a good rest. -

I genuinely never understood why the FOV in games has gotten to ridiculously tight, to be honest. In Quake 3, I used to play with an FOV of 120 (standard was 100, IIRC?), which isn't all that far off normal human vision of around 150-160 degrees. In some recent games like Dead Space, I could swear it's lower than 60. -

Taking into account inflation cups, didn't SNES games cost more than the 60 bucks people pay nowadays or something like that? I'm all for increasing the price of games if that means we can get rid of toxic practices like microtransactions, but then again, I just don't see a future where big companies try not to suck as… -

vTools only saves to TGA (http://home.insightbb.com/~jamestaylor/ if you dont know it) sure you could first save them out as tga and batch convert to DDS. i used the vTools Folder Exporting heavily on a project (around 40-60 folders) - but as its scripted, it can take an awufully long time to process everything. maybe… -
