Well today ( Saturday Sept. 27th, 2008 ), Warhammer Online broke the 90% threshold on Meta Critic ratings. :D Sitting at a respectable 91% and climbing with our first couple perfect scores. Nice to know people are digging it. Just thought I'd mention it for those interested in the game.

That sneak peak is just showing they have bought and integrated NEX into Maya proper. A tool which has been available since at least 2008. I guess it only takes like 5 years for AD to implement tools, way to go!
I don't have any qualms about taking a backup job for a while (I was a professional pizza slinger for a span of time in 2008...). How is the gap in industry-related work going to look to employers when I start applying again?
mxdirector: I have a really old set of rigs for UT3/UDK for Maya here. The set includes both the character, first person rig and an example weapon. It is pretty old and simple though ( 2008 ), I hope it's enough for your needs.
Nice! Don't forget to put the wireframe of your explorer, really important in your portfolio. I would also specify the triangle count (ex: 10, 000 tris) and the texture size (ex: 2 x 1024). It's coming really nice! :)
