Yah, if you use a ground plane, make it small, and drop it down a little further than the ground in the enviroment actually is. That'll keep it from occluding the whole of the object.

YAY! I win the thread! seriously though, with the constant improvements to the lighting engine and the way they use the fog and enviro effects, the atmosphere alone is better than half the games out there.
Thanks, there's really some fantastic enviro stuff in there. The only complain is that they didn't share models/wires. I guess they're mapping all that stuff onto simple planes :shifty:
So after finishing my work on the weaponry and enviro for Dying Light, I came back to the m4 model yesterday. Hopefully (again) I will have more time to work on it.
