I will just answer each question and hopefully guide you in the right direction. Which OS would be best for this? Windows 7 or 8? Huge bonus if there is a sleep mode like windows 7 for inactive periods. I hate Windows 8 interface for desktops, it takes more steps to do nearly every basic function. Moving around files and…
Wow, this concept will be very friendly to you when it comes to building modular pieces. Looking forward to see more. I am picturing an orangy/red mixed with blue composition when all is said and done. Final render in udk?
It kind of bothers me how the environments try so hard to look bust up, while having super straight geometry. Tilt over some of the stairs' handrail, add a half broken step, make some real geometry dents in the walls (or even just move the vertices a bit) have heaps of fallen plaster. Make sure the keeper's room has some…
Here is a new update for my Cinema scene. Fleshed out the builds with a modular kit, as well as updated the Marquees so that they display the new Theater name. Next update will have a new street as well as a Textured Sidewalk as well! Cheers!
What kind of drone did you use? Got any tips for delighting? I generaly think that large objects like this building are better off done in a modular fashion with tileable textures and some decals here and there but this should be interesting.
if you see a repetitive pattern in your concept then that's when you should consider going modular. for example in my block out i modeled my bridge as one piece of 256 units length and used it to build the whole bridge.
You could do a quick level design thing with UE4 and existing props, I'd use LPV so you don't have to bake anything. Have some fancy vertex painting and modular buildings would easily impress.
Background modular pieces are 95%done. they need some texture filling. Foreground buildings on the right are close to finished. There are some missing textures and some leftover modeling on the grocery. I'll place these things in engine when they're fully textured.
Hey man. Just to continue what we were talking about earlier. If you really look at the concept and try and break down the elements, you'll see there really isn't much to it and the whole thing can be build with only a few modular pieces. If you do this, you'll be able to see what defines the architecture and how you can…
Quick update, I have the tea house blocked out, the roof is a mesh but the rest besides the sliding doors are BSP brushes I plan on getting rid of soon. My other goal for this scene is to build everything that I can modular.
