Exploration of landscape stuff with blender eevee. Sea Of Rocks is fictional place in mostly barren planet. I used megascan things and textures with little changes to color to get em match with other objects mostly. Planning to do another one but with mostly procedular stuff.

Free for education License: $30 a month, no royalties, for everyone. Beast is used for baked lighting (atm) There are already landscape tools, but still a bit WIP. (terrain painting, under growth etc is there, but needs some polish)
If I understand correctly, you have a unique texture setup. Can you show your material in Unreal? To texture landscapes, you should use "splat maps" and tiling textures blended using the splatmaps.
Here's my recommended approach. Prioritize the focus of your composition. Concentrating and controlling saturation where you want a fresh viewer to look first then gradually eye flow the rest of the image (in this case, the background landscape).
More from last week - making shiny things, and learning to shape landscape in UE4. Polycount's monthly competition looks really good, so I shall be participating - might slow this scene down a bit...
Great links; always found this to be a very interesting, and rather disturbing, topic. The 2006 documentary Manufactured Landscapes, a film about the work of photographer Edward Burtynsky, also delves into this subject with some very powerful imagery.
Thank you for your return Teodar23, for the fences I will rework them after, sculpt and retopo! So it's normal for the moment that they are (weird). I continued a little after I came back from work on the landscape material and the composition.
Hey all, here's a couple landscape textures and a foliage update this time. Spent the weekend pressing plants/blades from my backyard then did some tweaking in photoshop. Was a blast and REALLY happy with the turnout. Crits always welcome!
Exactly. "the massive grind there was too much gear dependancy" Somone say WoW? Yeah, in terms of the world content and landscapes you have to give a point to WoW since they have done a great job on keeping players busy.
