Hi Kei, Apologies for this, we had a small miscommunication internally as to who would post the thread. The final submissions thread is now up, plus we have decided to extend the deadline by a week! Looking forward to seeing your entry.
hi! Good suggestions all around I must say, Im not a programmer so I cant say if the updates can be smaller but I can give that feedback to Teddy! PM about extended trial and we will sort it out :)
In light of the recent contest deadline being extended, I figure I may as well try and find one or two more shots in additions to the ones I already have, probably with some different lighting colours/feeling as well.
Yes, this is no problem. It is the same process as UDK/UE3 for the most part, or you can extend it with UE4 updated material editor. I would just look up detail texture tutorials for UE3 and follow those steps, there are plenty out there.
Problem... And my google fu is not solving it I select a ring of edges and use extrude, and drag down..However..they don't extrude nor drag down? Wut? ETA: Found it as well, Can't extrude an edge but can extend it.. Okay then.
SsSandu_C - in 3dsmax you don't export the highest subd to retopo from , probably level 3 or 4 'Or' just decimate your mesh first. So yeah max for me is a great solution , gotta love 'extend' on the graphite ribbon
The mudflaps over the tires don't match the concept. On the front tires especially, they extend over the outside of the tire all the way to the hub. You model also seems to ride a bit higher than the concept, but that might just be a result of the view.
Could we have a way to dock the Quixel Suite panel on the Photoshop interface (or a fix for CS6 Extended if one already exists)? It also would be great if the material settings menus could be a tab on the same sidebar as swatches and border styles.
can't get over how smoothly this competition went; really refreshing. NO DELAY. also, this was the first time hanging out for an extended period of time on the polycount forums, and i have to say this is a pretty great community. thanks to everyone and congrats.
I have to keep this trophy-esque type but after the exam I can do what I want on it maybe I'll extend this to a whole landscape or jump on another personal project for my portfolio I don't know for now.
