Bit of fun - these are a few of my favorite games from the 80s. Also where most of my money went at that time! 3DS Max, Substance Painter, Vray - Photoshop for the post color pop. Larger image here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/XBbKvy Thanks for looking!Daf
Hey guys, you guys probably saw the teaser that was out a few months ago. Here's the new trailer with dialog and junk. http://www.mtv.com/overdrive/?id=1547483&vid=123641#/overdrive/?id=1547483&vid=123641 Let your inner 80s child enjoy!
I found this to be a good representation of our pipeline. For people who want to become Level artist, this is a good read. I posted here rather than general because is more technical talk. https://80.lv/articles/deus-ex-mankind-divided-building-the-world/
http://www.igda.org/diversity/report.php lol wow... about 80% of the industry is made up of white males... also another interesting factor: [ QUOTE ] "Heterosexual = 92%, Lesbian/Gay = 2.7%, Bisexual = 2.7%" [/ QUOTE ] that makes 97.4% so... what the hell are the other 2.6%???
^ Yep +1 I'd also recommend browsing through stuff made by senior industry people which basically enables access to a ton of relevant insight into all asset creation tasks for free, particularly if the artist is a vehicle specialist as well: https://80.lv/articles/vehicle-production-for-games/…
This is awesome! That movie freaked me out when I was a kid. I love 80's movies as you can probably tell by my Gizmo model in my avatar :D Keep up the good work.
lots of references, was able to find some instructional videos that was very helpful to understanding how everything moved. And then edited videos of actual performance to get a ref for 80% of first blocking pass before starting to pose in maya.
I feel like it works a bit better on MP9 and it could be hard to tell how it is exactly 70s/80s sci-fi themed, but I like the idea and execution a lot, MP9 already faved on workshop. :D
Your Smoothing Groups looks wrong, I recommend you to recalculate the normals in a 80 Angle. If you send me your Low poly in a PM or email i could take a look at it and see what's wrong.
