Thanks for that. Always wondered about that. No wonder it takes me so many verts to get head/faces the right way. My heads weigh in between 450 to 500 tris. That's mostly to get things lit correctly.
they sure have changed the specs for that test i did it a while ago and mine was 500 polys and one 512 texture for everything **EDIT** what was the restriction on your textures? I remember this was the big thing on the test before
UH??? 3dsmax start to be more broken than Maya XDDD... On 3dsmax 5.0 it was in the Edit UVWS windows, ---> Menu Options ---> Preferences ---> Line Color.... Probably a bug, it seems to not affect the color in the 2010SP1 version... :D :D
I was only mentioning a bad word that hasn't been used in this thread yet. Don't be so gay. Continue mocking the Jews, and you will see a 500 word essay from me. Don't make me do it!
Thank you flow3d Normally I try to keep the density even in a model...but I figured the boots didn´t need as much form as the arms for example. Plus I wanted to keep it under 500 polys.
Lee3dee, I got that Mr. Incredible off Ebay when the film came out, number #16/500 so its my little pride and joy. ;p All these dual monitor setups kill me.
XSI had a great product with foundation, $500 bucks, and the target was freelancers and people on a budget, it had basically all the features besides hair, some particle stuff, and I think some of the fancy batch rendering across servers option.
I would get a refurbished lacie blue eye pro. I got mine from lacie and it was just like new. The refurb version is only $150 instead of $370 http://www.lacie.com/us/products/product.htm?pid=10900
volvo apparently changed the requirements for abaddons weapon - texture aint 256x128 no more now its 256x256 and the lod0 limit was 500 now is 450 so my whole morning of uv mapping and stuff all for nothing. thx volvo
Not yet but soon. You'll be able to : - match low poly to high poly only when their mesh name is the same in SD 5.0 and hopefully SP 1.3. - do that also by comparing the material IDs instead in SD 5.1 / SP 1.4.
