as for long working hours i remember some ex colleagues who complained about our contractual 37.5 hour work weeks in the UK. at their various previous studios (big name ones back then, too) they were used to ... 35 hours per week. which translates to friday afternoons spent in the pub. ;)

Reopened this old model and redone great part of it, I wanted to add everything I have learned in the past 8-9 months. Fixed a few errors, remade/retopo'd some pieces, made a cleaner bake, and redone textures from scratch. Total tricount went down to 37k (from the original 42k).
Edit: I've heard good things about the Stafford course, it's probably worth looking into. I've also heard good things about the games art course at Derby. I would certainly recommend a focused course rather than a 'jack of all trades' design course. If you feel that you should have applied elsewhere, it is definitely worth…
