updates!! chest armor around 80% he still needs some straps to connect the breastplate to the hip guards. C&C most welcome, please let me know what you think. -Woog
So you lost 230 pounds overall, no matter if you lost it from one weight to your current or if you regained and lost 80 again, thats pretty much insane :O 230 pounds - amazing, can't believe it
460 watts seems overkill? imo should have some high efficiency (80+) with lower max watts... especially with a "simple" cpu and no addin gpu, the entire system will probably have a hard time even reaching 100 watt
First thing is to increase Irradiance map subdivs to 80-100. Than maybe interpolation samples to 30 (but this may eat some small details). Also change adaptive dmc to something like 1/10 and decrease adaptivity a bit.
This has nothing to do with Adobe. It's just a limitation of the GIF file format. It's from the 80's back when alpha blending was a bit too much to ask of the average PC. Save to a 32-bit PNG and it'll look fine.
A standard Blinn material with a low-mid grey diffuse, a high specular level of 80-100 and a glossiness of 20-40 should be fine. A high specular level is really the key to being able to spot any errors in the surface geometry.
How sweet would a true X-Com fps be set in the crappilly awesome early nineties like the original? Set it even further back I reckon so you can get some 80's flavour in there too.
played around with it a little bit, im experiencing weird lag spikes, especially when the camera is still, when im moving the camera my fps is like 70-80 but when its static im down to 40-50.
@Gav Does polycount matter these days ? I mean characters with 25k tris vs 80-100k tris. Of course, if you apply for Blizzard 100k tris characters it doesnt make sense, I mean overall ;) Thanks for the tips!
Not sure if it's still of any use, but I'm gonna say slightly modified geospheres. 80 triangles apiece. Though you can of course use a different geosphere as a base, this one seems to be a bit chunkier than you might want.
