The only decent trees I have found for archviz are the evermotion or dosh tree packs, they range from 60 to 100 euros if I remember correctly. Pretty good deal considering the time it saved me and how expensive the good foliage generating softwares are. I wouldnt worry about polycounts to much since you can use vray…
This one's a little more in-depth, but worth a read- http://www.handprint.com/HP/WCL/color11.html http://www.handprint.com/LS/CVS/color.html There's also the 60-30-10 rule. This random blog spot I found sums it up nicely- http://sari0009.xanga.com/758578546/art-and-the-603010-rule/ Do some value sketches before you paint!…
I have yet to be satisfied with a gnomon dvd purchase. It's been awhile since I've bought one, but never found them particularly good and felt $60 was too expensive for what I got. The yearly subscription is probably well worth it, though, as $300 is rather cheap for all that training. The few eat3d dvds I bought were well…
Ah man that's part of the joy of it! There are only a couple of (even debate-ably) weak guns in the rotation -- for me I can't handle the Bizon at all -- but with the rounds typically lasting under 60 seconds and the tight, intricate maps, getting dealt a bad hand (say, bison when a lot of CTs are still on M4 ) presents a…
Oh it's an awesome silly film. Older though--60s era. Woman: You're right. I must face my problems. I can't go through life being a semi-virgin. Man: What, in the name of all that is gracious, is a semi-virgin? Woman: Here, I'm a virgin. In America, I'm not. Man: What do they do? Stamp it on your passport?
Thank you guys! @Bedrock Well it depends what your specs are. At this moment it would be tough on maxed settings as I didn't optimized it too much. I am trying to reach 60 FPS at this moment but when I come to the stage of deep optimization I will check possibilites! Trailer is coming on Saturday (tomorrow) or on Monday!…
Upped jpeg quality on web save to 100% from 60%. Don't really want to have 1.3mb pictures on my site, so PNG is a bit too big. It could also be the filter i have on that's maybe causing this though, but for some reason i like it/want it there as it takes away the crisp cleanliness of the edges which really annoy me in…
This is the main reference I'm using, the bottom right one probably being the most influential. I'm not really trying to recreate 1:1 but just take inspiration from these and find parts i like and want to include. I have a whole pure ref file with like 60 images of all the different components that im referring to when…
Good choice, IMO a SSD is a great choice, it adds a noticable snappiness to the whole system. I would get something big enough for the OS + your main apps, I would say get a 120GB or so, but you may get by with a 60/90gb drive. Prices have been dropping pretty reliably on SSDs so the cost isnt toooo bad.
I had that problem too but it was fixed a few versions ago(1.95) and now it works great on my system The PSD for my bed i posted a while back is 4kx2k with multiple layers (maybe 60+?) and it used to destroy my system when generating the images within explorer, but now it uses the embedded thumbnails, so you should be good…
