These are really handy tools . Id like to suggest a 4th mode for the texel size tool, which I think would be a good time saver for keeping the same texture density throughout a project. Instead of averaging out the texel size between all or the selected objects , you could use an object which has the correct density as a…
I think the lag they have when large numbers of players gather in say the Auction House or outside of the bank (in IF) could be fixed if they made the AH and Bank instanced. I have mentioned it since closed beta and I have gotten a response of "that would fix the issue but we don't have the time to do that"... Badge, lets…
Update4: The name of the level hasn't been mentioned yet so let these screenshots denote it: dod_kolsch! Kolsch comes from Cologne's local brew called "Kölsch". The name dod_koln wouldn't be appreciated since people might expect the old koln level for the classic dod. The cathedral has become famous for being one of the…
FUCK THE PATRIOTS! No one gave the Chargers a chance at ALL to beat the Colts, but they went into the Dome and beat them in just about every part of the game. Mind you, LT was out the second half, and Rivers was out the entire 4th quarter. Sure you can say that the Chargers are too banged up to win in NE next week, but I…
this pass i had a bit of better luck with this, due to some stroke settings, however i am getting a layering effect, im wondering if it is the mallet fast brush causing this. @Tavor: to do the edges, as described in the 4th picture of the tutorial.. i dont use mallet fast. i generally use clay or trim-adaptive for…
7 Months ago... A little explaining before hand is required, You see i started making my own game and these models were for the game. Since it was my first game and since i had no experience before, my game went from a small low poly game, to a huge diablo 3 high-poly-story-driven-hack-and-slash in several short weeks.…
Hi ty for response, Stoned I am now lol oO I forgot about the part where u have to make ur mesh full evenly spread quads before exporting to Zbrush. Yes you are right Cryrid I have to put down my theory into practise :) eventually. My intention is to make environments Modular style so kinda worried in terms of grid…
Pictures Incoming... Part 1 is where I'm currently stuck. I can't quite seem to make a vertibrae that I'm happy with. What I'm about to show below is my 4th attempt, which is the best of the bunch. One of the shots I used this as reference... ....and of course my skull. ...which looks good from that angle, but is totally…
I don't really like this site for presenting your work, it's a lot of text and extra stuff that I don't think is very important. It's very sterile and the banners are distracting. If you set up something like a simple Carbonmade page, it would instantly look cleaner and provide quick access to the art. It would be nice if…
An RGB image is 3 channels of 8bit grayscale images for the red, green, and blue channels. You can see them in photoshop if you want. Adding an alpha channel is going to increase that to 4 channels, or effectively increase the texture size by 1/3rd. If you use a 1bit alpha it's much less wasteful as its only a 1 bit…
