Your portfolio is great Moran! You showcase impeccable skill for hard surface modeling and especially texturing. I really hope they can ryse above their current situation. har har. actually, speaking of which, I picked up ryse last night and god damn, its gorgeous. the environments are really stellar and the material/shader work and lighting really kick some ass. good showcase for the engine thats for sure.
Yea, I made the textures big just for the purpose of showcasing my stuff. But when I make them for games, I scale them way down. I guess I should explain that in some of the texture descriptions. Thanks for pointing that out. And I'll definitely look into changing the color scheme of my website
Not that old, lol. I'm talking about assets you made for your old project. However this is where you showcase your latest work, so I understand if you don't want these here. I can just remove them if you want. I'm just trying to say that they still look great. (:
It's not so much about putting something out to make money as an individual, but rather using a tool to showcase a talent. Just trying to find the best tool to do that, to build a portfolio. And my friends are the most critical group. If I could make something they enjoyed, I'd consider myself as having done a good job.

We don't have an explicit rule about this issue. However we generally allow game work-in-progress posts in the other sections of the forum. As long as you post periodic progress, info about how the art was made, etc. I'm moving this to the 2D Showcase section. Feel free to post updates in this thread.
