Spent a couple days hammering out what i learned is called Horizontal Volute Spring System on the later models of shermans. Im happy with the level of detail i havnt quite been able to achieve before :)
Look awesome nBac, would you mind summarising how you arrived at this?, i havnt really worked with stone sculpting (or much sculpting at all) before, so i'd really like a few tips and tricks :)
hi guys ive been at work with the pilar i havnt finalised it yet, hence why the base of the pillar is all lumpy justy trying to get good placements before i start adding in the hard edges
i usually just do two extrusions (or 4 depending on whether i need tighter loops for a high poly) from a cylinder, each time doing a rotate of 45 degrees hasnt failed me yet
Trying to get me to pay by taunting me in the early stages of the game made me lose interest, had they not perhaps I would still be playing and my addiction would make me buy a prem civ.
im not sure what ref your using for the radio but its looking a little to stylized being very soft with very large knobs. in fact if you hadnt said it was a radio I would have never guessed.

ok, upon further examination and some manipulation in photoshop, these are infact in the texture itself. I havnt a clue what could be causing this, i've spent about the whole day reading through the ultimate nm thread to no avail
Ah Carlos Huante i've got some of his books, awesome artist. I really like an artist called Adrian Smith too he does a lot of the warhammer art and the detail is unbelievable highly recommended.
Don't know what I can say that hasnt been said already.. beautiful and repulsive. I wonder what the opposite sex would look like? Scratch that I don't even want to think about it
